I am a University Lecturer in Media Education at the University of Lapland’s Centre for Media Pedagogy.  In this blog, you will find information about my research and teaching within the fields of Media Education and Social Psychology. My research interests include:

  • Elderly Internet non-users
  • ICTs and moving images in teaching and learning
  • Online teaching and learning
  • Higher education pedagogy, especially problem-based learning
  • Meaningful learning
  • Internet in everyday life
  • Mobile learning

During the academic year 2011-2012 I worked as a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence at the Finlandia University, Michigan, USA. I have posted some of my thoughts about my stay in Michigan in this blog (in Finnish).
